TechniData AG
TechniData – About us

History

TechniData's success story began in 1985 when five former Dornier System GmbH engineers formed a new company. Though certainly hopeful and motivated, they could not have anticipated the rapid development their business would experience. With extensive computer science and engineering know-how under their belt - gained in many, innovative and technologically demanding software projects, - the founders aimed to use their skills for new software products and to secure a niche in the dynamic IT market.

After roughly two decades and numerous milestones, TechniData has become an internationally respected market leader in the field of compliance management solutions, with this success has come substantial growth.

But as much as things have changed, one constant remains the same to this day: TechniData is always a step ahead with its ideas. Time and again, this has enabled the company to develop truly innovative software solutions and services that help companies implement efficient environment and safety processes. Among the customers who have trusted our solutions over the years are large corporations from all industry branches, as well as numerous public bodies and institutions from around the world.

TechniData's story is one of consistent growth: Currently some 500 employees work for the TechniData Group. Furthermore TechniData has also become an international player, expanding into the U.S. market in 1998. TechniData's U.S.-based subsidiary TechniData America (once Enterprism Solutions) in Delaware has entrenched itself in the U.S. EH&S market, and positive growth looks very likely for the foreseeable future as well.

In 1995, TechniData joined forces with SAP in a strategic alliance, becoming its development partner for the Environmental Management System SAP EH&S. It's a strong alliance with substantial benefits for our partners and customers alike.
Enterprism Solutions was founded in 1998 as an SAP services partner whose mission was to help SAP clients automate and integrate the way they comply with environmental, health and safety requirements. In 2004 the name changed from Enterprism to TechniData America.

While TechniData America and TechniData AG operate independently, we collaborate to seamlessly offer our clients global support and continuity across continents. Members of TechniData AG's core development staff rotate into consulting positions at TechniData America for two to three year assignments. The staff rotation model is beneficial for the American market.

Arriving personnel strengthen our ability to serve clients by bringing experiences with new functions and features.
On their return they bear the responsibility to transfer the knowledge gained during their tenure at TechniData America to the core development team and leverage their contacts and experiences to improve the solution. The model also provides opportunities for international work experience.

Below, you will find detailed information about our company history and milestones:
